opening real estate sales

I think that opening the real estate market will be a easy and fairly close to current social distancing. In a empty property a agent can open the property and wait outside while the Surveyer can go in alone and do the survey. Also real estate agent can open the property and step aside so potential buyer can view the property with no contact with anybody. Obviously no group viewings permitted. Same can apply for occupied property with the owners be obliged to step outside while survey or viewings are taking place.
That’ll be a great first step towards the opening of one of the most important and tax revenue segment of the economy.

Why the contribution is important

Tradesmen can easily work on empty properties providing that ONLY ONE PERSON WORK IN THE PROPERTY at any one time. Again following the current social distancing.

Agree. Very important to the economy and easy to keep within guidelines.

In my opinion construction, surveying, estate agency and legal work associated with sales and purchase are all connected and are all crucial elements of the Scottish economy. It is imperative that everything is done to enable us to return to work in some shape or form to enable the property market to restart and to save a vast number of businesses having to close and make tens of thousands of Scots redundant. There are several elements which would require to be confirmed first, one being the responsibility for the sanitising of properties prior to and after viewings/valuations/visits are carried out.

This is a relatively easy option
Also allow surveyors to visit property particularly if they’re empty

All important factors to stimulate the economy whilst minimally impacting on viral transmission.

Agree, many of us are frozen in the midst of buying and selling a house and cannot move. Renting and being unable to view houses and estate agents being unable to progress new listings is also stalling the economy where social distancing solutions are possible.

Getting houses for sale onto the market will help all of us who are ready to buy a property but who can't progress currently. Estate agents, solicitors, lenders, financial advisors/mortgage advisors etc can operate safely and viewers/buyers can avoid close contact with sellers within social distancing rules.
