Out of Lockdown Holidays?

Camping and caravan parks have a very short season usually open from March till September.
Being aware of how the operate socially distancing could be a component in reduction the restrictions as as sites operate under licencing regarding capacity for touring caravans and tents which have allocated areas so could be controlled by reduction in site capacity. Pre-booking is normally part of the structure of operation so it may be possible to restrict access from other regions from other areas of the U.K. that have had higher infection rates of the virus than Scotland.
I realise this could be viewed as having a Scottish Bias but this would help small rural communities at least generate some revenue this year and help the Scottish Economy.

Why the contribution is important

The lockdown has had a massive impact on peoples wellbeing and is a suggestion worth of consideration.
If implemented it would provide a holiday prospect for a percentage of the population and a degree of revenue for many of the tourist areas involved and allow an encourage an element of the population with caravans and tents to holiday at home.
Caravans and mobile homes are to a degree can function independantly with self catering although allowing controlling washing up areas and toilets to impose self distancing measures.

Absolutely agree. Most caravans now have cooking facilities , showers and toilets so it would be possible to keep the public facilities in caravan parks closed if it was felt to be a risk. Static caravans are self contained and most holiday makers bring supplies with them and wouldn’t add to the queues in supermarkets. Caravaners could be asked to remain mainly within their own pitch.
