Outdoor activities

Allow small groups of 2-3 people from different households to exercise together outdoors, as many activities, eg golf, riding, running are done in small groups of friends rather than individual households. this should include coaching where social distancing can be maintained. Children can resume lessons e.g. horse riding.

Why the contribution is important

Often members of the same households have different interests and outdoor activities are u dertaken with a stable group of friends or training partners / coaches which is important for mental health and businesses such as riding schools can offer lessons in small groups.

We need to use some commom sense & risk management here, risk of transmission is very low. Much less dangerous than goign to a supermarket.

Riding lessons should be allowed to resume providing riding centres implement measures to promote strict hygiene and observe social distancing, which I know many already had in place pre lockdown

Social distancing outside for exercise or indeed social activity could safely take place now. Queues outside supermarkets bring large groups together - surely it would be very easy and safe for small groups of family or friends to exercise together outside.
