Penalties for companies making staff redundant

Penalties for large, cash rich companies making staff redundant during this crisis.

Why the contribution is important

Prevents companies (who can furlough staff) using this crisis as an excuse to downsize staff.

Multi millionaire owners and partners can afford to help their staff through this (with government help) and should morally try to help employees. A loss of a few million to a company is a drop in the ocean compared to the impact on families left without an income.

Many stores of large companies (Oil and other areas) shedding staff when there is no real need at the moment.

Everyone should be trying to help keep jobs, as this will also help the economy going forward when restrictions are slowly lifted.

I made a similar suggestion about large companies being told to not make profit for a year but to focus on employment and re-booting society. Totally agree with this suggestion
