Allow individuals who live alone to have one or two friends or family that they are allowed to meet up with for exercise and for social purposes, even if the latter is just outside.

Why the contribution is important

The rules talk about 'households' yet people who live alone don't have other household members to exercise with and be with at home with. Tackling loneliness and isolation was high on the Scottish Government agenda prior to Coronavirus. People who live alone are now facing 9 weeks of isolation which has a detrimental impact on mental health, which will also have an impact on the NHS in the longer term. Any person who lives alone and is no longer going out to work will have low contact with the outside world and therefore be low risk. They should be allowed to find one or two other friends / family members who are also low risk to exercise with / chat to at a distance outdoors. This would have a significant improvement on mental health in these circumstances.
