Permit second home owners or owners of other substantial assets (e.g. boats, caravans, cars, livestock etc.) that are not located in their homes to travel to them in order to check their security and carry out or arrange for essential maintenance to be carried out.
This should not be restricted to holiday homes or rental properties.
This should permit access to property throughout the UK and allow for a sensible number of days at the property, taking account of return journeys which may not sensibly be undertaken in a single day or days.

Why the contribution is important
Concern for the security of significant assets.
The risk of criminal damage, fire, flooding etc requires these proiperties to be monitored and such checks are not only good practice but a requirement of many insurance policies.
Mental well-being of property owners concerned that their properties may be compromised or at risk.
