Playing golf should be allowed

I can walk round a golf club twice a day but I can’t play golf on the same ground which I pay membership for.
However, while I walk around the golf club as part of my daily exercise I observe families and groups of people pulling buggies across the greens and allowing children to ride bikes on the greens.
I’ve also observed teenagers in groups jumping in and out of bunkers.

Why the contribution is important

As people are allowed to walk around a golf course for a few hours a day why can I not hit a ball on it? I’d happily play alone if with someone from my household.
It seems very unfair to people who pay membership towards the upkeep of these courses. At the moment the course is open for people to abuse but not open to people behaving respectfully and following socially distancing rules.

How would you enforce social distancing? Especially considering that the appropriate social distances would have to be increased for those walking? What about changing facilities? Parking? Staff at the golf club?

People’s health is more important than golf
