Many people including myself weight train daily not only for fitness but for the sake of our mental health. The fact I cannot go to the gym is seriously affecting my mental health - my gym was already social distancing before the incarceration so was abiding by the rules -,then you shut it down - yes this not lockdown - it is essentially house arrest and MUST be stopped before suicide rates soar...…… please lift these restrictions

Why the contribution is important

Suicide rates will soar - I cannot stand to be locked up, isolated and lonely any longer - PLEASE consider the affect these restrictions are having on mental health

Buy some weights you can easily weight train at home will probably save a fortune on gym membership too. I would t want to touch gym weights everyone has been touching just now.

Buying weights to use at home are extremely expensive, gym memberships can start from £11 per month. My gym was social distancing and cleaning vigorously before lockdown and everyone followed it because no one wanted it to close. It’s unfair for anyone to say just workout at home when they don’t understand how the gym helps so much. If the gym is you get away from everything to allow you to control your mental health as well as avoid any more body image issues like body dysmorphia which could seriously cause havock on someone’s mental health. It is more than possible to reopen gyms in a safe way, there just had to be strict rules and punishments for those who don’t follow them.
