Why the contribution is important

Local R values could be a measure Compliance so you could see how your town/county/area is doing.

    This could be difficult but connects to other idea of considerations re easing lockdown depending on geographical location.

    I like this idea, however it could cause anger/panic in areas where the R number has not decreased as much as in other areas. It may also lead to people travelling unnnecessarily to second homes in parts of the country they deem "safer" and taking the virus with them.

    If R numbers are calculated for different geographical locations, then in the interests of transparency, the Scottish Government should make them available on line.
    They don’t have to do a big display along with all the other graphs and charts which we see on a daily basis, but they should be available.
    If they exist, then they should be in the public domain. Not kept a secret.
