Recycling centres

Reopen community recycling centres. These are places where social distancing should easily be maintained, be limiting car access.

Why the contribution is important

Reduce fly tipping.
Restart part of the economy.
Reduce litter.
Encourages social involvement, in a safe way.

    This is a good idea. No doubt many people, like me, now have the time to do work on their garden or to clear out cupboards or lofts but have held back because they can't access the recycling centre. If the centre's are open they would provide many with occupation during lockdown

    They may not be categorised as essential journeys but , in the main they would be short journeys. I am a regular user of the recycling centre and in my experience social distancing would not be an issue.

    I love my local tip. I can't wait to get there with the pile of rubbish I've amassed clearing out the last few weeks.

    Adopt a booking system (many centres have this in place for vans already) - means numbers are managed, no queuing traffic, safer for staff.

    Blanket opening might be a bit harder to manage
