Register all Non Documented Covid 19 Instances to date

Current statistics only include those suspected COVID 19 cases reported to NHS although weekly death reporting includes deaths in independent care homes and ‘other cases’.

The death v reported cases ratio for Scotland and the UK as a whole is very high. To get a true grip on the mortality rate of this virus we need to know how many people self isolated with symptoms and recovered without first registering with the NHS. Those who ran a high temperature or had a dry cough for only 24/48 hours should be excluded as they probably did not have the virus. A better confirmatory test would appear to be the loss of taste and smell.

Why the contribution is important

It’s important to know exactly what the spread of the virus has been and those who respond to this public request should be added to the list of those to be tested when a reliable antibody test has been decided upon.
