Relaxation of restrictions on get-togethers

The possibility of creating social 'bubbles' where limited groups of families or friends could meet seems extremely risky and impossible to enforce.
Despite most people adhering to the lockdown restrictions, everyone will have seen instances where others do not. There are also already many comments within these discussion threads where people think that they should be allowed to make up their own minds re the risks in meeting with others.
The stresses created by the lockdown measures are obviously much greater for some people than for others depending on their circumstances eg living alone or with family / children health issues. But the risks to the NHS and the wider community as shown by the chart relating to an increase in the R number couldn't be clearer.

Why the contribution is important

While recognising the pressure to relax social distancing measures is increasing all the time, the Scottish Government has always been very honest about the risks in changing the rules too quickly. They must stand firm now and for as long as necessary.
