Firstly, I'm not referring to remote island ferries, as there are more complex matters to consider in most of these cases, in terms of maintaining a protective lockdown regime for as long as appropriate.
Some ferry services connect parts of the mainland which would otherwise involve lengthy car journeys eg Dunoon <> Gourock, Portavadie <> Tarbert.

In these cases, perhaps use of these services would offer many benefits of access to goods and services, as they reopen, if we're allowed to travel slightly further afield without many risks.
