reopening of schools in remote and rural areas of Scotland

It should be possible, as suggested in your report today, to vary in geographic terms the introduction of some measures to reopen some schools. My suggestion would be that in some of Scotland's more remote and Island areas primary schools with say less than 100 pupils and less than 4 teachers could reopen on a full time basis. The risk of infection would be very low indeed and would be reduced still further if all pupils and staff at each school to be reopened were tested for the virus before being allowed to attend.

Why the contribution is important

It is important because it would allow the safe return of a degree of normal life for families and schools and allow the resumption of some economic activity by parents whose children would be safely at school as per usual. And all the pupils would be much happier being with their friends again and not having to "suffer" their parents well meaning attempts at home schooling!!
