Responsible access to the hills

People are allowed to drive no more than 30-50 miles, about to an hour, and then walk up recognised paths in to the hills while maintaining social distancing in a small group of no more than 4.

Why the contribution is important

For maintaining good mental health and warding off deep depression.
It is widely recognised the benefits of hill walking to peoples physical and more importantly there mental well-being. The current lockdown preventing people going out to the hills causing a lot of people to be depressed and may have long term impact to there mental health.

    Agree, hill walking can easily be carried out whilst maintaining social distancing rules. It has proven benefits for both mental and physical well being.

    Completely agree, one size does not fit all. Going for a local walk in a busy city is much higher risk than heading a bit further out to an open area away from centres of population whilst maintaining social distancing.

    A nice idea for those with transport: but (a) will increase inequality, given how many don't have cars or access to suitable public transport; (b) likely to cause problems in maintaining social distancing in popular spots; (c) increase in road traffic leading to more accidents.
