I have great concerns around a second wave of the virus.
Right now the roads and parks are almost as busy as pre lockdown!. Has someone issued a secret email advising that lockdown has ended?
Yesterday the Uk had one oh the highest increases in cases(Scotland was lowest) yet arrangements are being talked about for returning to work! There is a missing link in this?
There is a great fear of letting our guard down at exactly the wrong time!
And we are! !!!!
My largest concern is returning to offices shops cafes etc without adequate safety measures, one thing
AIR CONDITIONING
Suggestion no 1- ban air con
We have historic proof that air conditioning spreads viruses!
The weather is warmer so most work places will have air conditioning.
question 1How can I be guaranteed that my workplace(very large busy office with no facility for homeworking) will be protecting me? I can’t! We don’t no enough about it!
Question 2 If me contracting the virus cannot be guaranteed then is there a health insurance policy I that will support me?
Question 3 if none of the above can guarantee my safety from the virus in my working environment what freedom do I have for taking care of my own health and safety and refusing to enter a potential dangerous environment?
I do want to work however until there is a vaccine it’s all very risky situation to “have” to return to this environment, homeworking is what I see working however implemented
My suggestion no 2 is a health policy that protects employees who have to enter a workplace
