River and Pond Fisheries

River and stocked pond fishing activity is, by it's nature, a socially distanced activity. Where payment for access is required and their are user facilities such as toilets, simple arrangements can be put in place to allow these leisure activities to be carried out safely.

This type of fishing activity is important for both the rural economy and is a well proven positive activity for mental health and wellbeing.
