Road Repairs

The construction industry has always excelled in safety policies, procedures and assessing risk, ahead of most other sectors. Why not take advantage of the network being quieter than normal and put a selective number of projects into the pipeline and perhaps reduce the 20 + years of road maintenance backlog that currently exists ?

Why the contribution is important

Many well constructed measures were in place prior to lockdown dealing with social distancing and excluding vulnerable people etc. This work would also support a huge supply chain in an extremely precarious financial position, and the Network improvements would produce less insurance claims in the long term.
