Salons

One client at a time, wearing masks, clean of salon in between clients using alcohol spray on chair used, hairdresser to wear mask for duration of client service.

Why the contribution is important

People are depressed and low and some people can not do their own hair and need the feel good factor to ease depression and feel a bit better and confident upon returning to work or continuing to work if key workers.
Some people are suffering from hair loss and permanent damage trying to bleach their own roots up etc..

Would love to get my hair cut however I am not sure how this could work with close proximity and lack of testing especially for hairdressers . Maybe we all shave our heads until then

For the feel good factor...perhaps we can have intermittent access?? I was shocked to read that 'underground' salons and home hairdressers are springing up. How do you monitor that? Better to have a visible service...

It is also important in that many hairdressers/beauticians are self employed, but because they maybe only rent a space in a salon they are not eligible for many of the support schemes on offer and are having to negotiate the appalling universal credit system.

Underground hairdressing being set up.Better being visible and monitored with all precautions in place.A basic haircut would give so many people a boost and a feel good factor.
