Schools and childcare hubs have already proven their ability to adapt environments and have the time to develop proposals that demonstrate a viability to continue for the future. Many childcare organisations fates are linked to the return of school. If proposals to stagger or adjust numbers of children attending at the same time as suggesting people could return to work if employers can satisfy safety concerns could do two immediate things. 1. Give employers the chance to pick and choose which employees to retain in that there are likely to be redundancies (this is surely not an equitable, fairer society where the burden for care is predominately places on women) 2. Increase the need for childcare and caring commitments for the elderly, disabled or vulnerable where the social care sector have already borne the brunt of the pandemic.
Why the contribution is important
It considers both economic impact and unfair equity against government rhetoric
