School pupils return by the household

I feel it is important that when school return it is not by the classes but by the house hold.

Why the contribution is important

Parents can't manage having multiple children in different schedules it allows a bit of normality to those that most need it and show patents free time to return to work or give themselves a mental break.

This may be difficult for teachers and other school staff to manage.

The idea is good but schools would really not be able to manage that. Just send all kids back at same time or at most 0ne week between seniors and juniors.

How are schools supposed to decide which families get to return first?

Just because one household has 3 kids, they get priority over a household that only has 1? That's a nightmare to organise and would undoubtedly result in a deluge of complaints being directed at schools.

It would be hatd to organise, but could be done by catchment area (or perhaps feeder school, in the case of high schools with multiple feeder primaries).

I think this is a good idea because the primary reason to allow schools to open before other things (by my understanding) is because other things can't open if parents can't go to work, and therefore the parents need schools as childcare.

Not organising things by year would be a challenge for teachers, but one i think they are more than up for. Especially if they are allowed to treat school as closer to educational childcare than it is in normal times.

I agree that this is a great idea. Having children return in bubbles makes perfect sense if our priority is to reduce the spread of COVID. Blended learning with outdoor time, home schooling, Flexi schooling and school time could make this more manageable
