Working within the education setting I understand the need to get children back to school in some capacity. However I worry about the safety of our children and staff as I am fully aware that asking children of any age, nursery, primary or secondary To remain apart will prove near impossible! the way forward must be for a phased return in some capacity with maximum of a 3rd of children and staff in the school building at anyone time. A 3 tier rotation would work best. This would mean the same staff and pupils would be together and then if covid 19 is confirmed then that 1/3 of pupils and staff are isolated away from the other 2/3 of pupils and staff allow education to continue for them. Working in a school with more than 1500 pupils and hundreds of staff there is no possible way that the school can operate safely with this amount of children and staff on site. Safety of our children and staff must be our number 1 priority

Why the contribution is important

It’s simple, it focuses on the idea of a staff/pupil rota where 1/3 of staff and pupils are in the school building at one time while the other 2/3 work from home. It could be that each 1/3 of pupils and staff are in school for 2 days then 4 working days at home
