School session 2020/2021

Is it possible that school holidays could start at the beginning of June ( probably with no return before that date) with ppuils then returning for the next session in mid July. This would allow time for the preparation of sound arrangements for the return of all children with all the considerations for social distancing having had time to be put in place properly. It might then be necessary for the session 2020 - 2021 to change the October break dates but this would not be difficult. For most students this would help to restore normality and with a longer session ahead some of the lost time could be made up. This would help senior students preparing for exams. There might be arguments about family holidays etc but as such things may in any case be neither desirable nor possible this would apply to only small numbers of pupils. As our Scottish summer term in any case ends in June this would be the least disruptive way ahead.
