Scotlands Covid-19 Daily Press Briefings - Better granularity!

Why doesn't the First Minister use slides with actual performance data to show how well / or not that we are doing, and which regions appear to be tackling the virus better?

Slides could be per region, e.g. Greater Glasgow & Clyde, Forth Valley, Fife, etc. on:
1. New daily cases.
2. Daily numbers of people in hospital per region, and total number.
3. Number of tests carried out.
4. Number of known cases recovered.
5. Sadly also on number of deaths.

Presently if you go to wikipedia there is an article that monitors this and shows that most regions have few and in some cases no new cases for several days and weeks. Six of the fourteen regions have recorded no new cases for the past 2 days, and three have had no new cases for over two weeks.
It also shows that one of the main contributors of new cases is Greater Glasgow & Clyde, which can be expected as they have approx 20% of population. They consistently have in order of 25% of new cases and have a 7 day rolling average of some 66, with a high of 79, but also consistently had 7 day rolling average of 70+ new cases all through April. There has been very little downward trend, and there could be many reasons for this and maybe the First Minister could elaborate on these.
But without this type of data being published there may be few members of the public aware of where we are on the journey through this virus.

Why the contribution is important

Use of slides would give better granularity of where their appears to be pockets of this virus, and where the virus is now reducing well below the R value of 1 or there being no new cases for several days or weeks.
This information probably would be essential for any removal of lockdown, and for any test-track-trace and isolate system, as it would show where there needs to be more effort on testing and isolating such as to control/stop the spread of the virus.
It would give the public better awareness of how the virus is in the country.
It probably would give the press some more knowledge such they can ask the right questions on addressing the area of the country that have the virus.

Wikipedia can be edited / added to by anyone - try it.
Given that it can be edited / added to by any fool it can not be used for anything even close to this important
    Let’s stick to the science

The post was not saying use wikipedia, it was as an example of the data and how to present.
The Scottish Assembly needs to have their own data recording and ways to present such that the public can see how we are doing.

Scientific views vary so the mantra let's stick to the science is also deceiving, however I agree entirely with the original comment here that we need actual data rather than nicola sturgeon telling us that things will change 'when I think it is safe'. Intelligent government is what is now needed and we haven't seen that in scotland for a while.

Not helpful. Next, there'll be a suggestion that we should have US election style razamataz. A simple factual as provided is best.
