Split school into 2 groups and reorganise timetable so that pupils attend for 2 days a week (eg by junior and senior phase) with smaller class sizes. During this time teachers can focus on curriculum elements that cannot be done remotely (eg science practical) or need additional teacher input and set the work to be undertaken at home the other 3 days. 2 days junior phase, 2 days senior phase, 1 day teacher prep. For school transport this would halve the number of pupils on buses too.

Why the contribution is important

There is a limit to how much can done remotely - lots of subjects have practical elements which are a key part of the examinable curriculum and compliment the theoretical learning. Particularly important for senior phase pupils, if they are to be ready for external exams next year.
Also would start to bring more structure back to pupils learning and day.
Once set up is potentially sustainable for a relatively long period.
