See Friends and family - one group at a time, one week apart
Limiting social contact as part of the new normal is unacceptable and should not be tolerated as acceptable. But being smart about how to see people makes sense. Limit contact to one other household at a time, once a week - Suggest a week in-between visits so limits contact and allows time for any problems and for track and trace etc - I would abide by this.
It limits contacts and allows time for tracking and tracing - more extreme measures being suggested are not realistic and many people will see as too extreme. There is no quick solution and we need to live alongside this. Hard to policy, maybe but people will abide by sensible guidelines most have been. But to say to people they cant meet friends and family is not acceptable. And picking one or two will not work. We cant cut down all risk, we need to live with this but do so in a sensible way

Why the contribution is important
Family and friends are essential to well being, limiting social contact is not appropriate for a Gove, and people are more likely to obey if they can see family and friends with restrictions as above.
