People who live alone could be allowed to see one other person outside their house hold as long as that person only meets them as well. This would be especially useful for couples in long term relationships.
Why the contribution is important
People are starting to really struggle with this lockdown in large parts because of loneliness. Loneliness alone can make people sick. I work in the support services of the NHS and I haven’t seen my partner since the start of lockdown. With how stressful work is my anxiety is through the roof and I’m lacking the support system I need. I think if people could see just one more person it would make sticking to other rules much easier meaning this can last longer.
