Skiing

Dry slopes could offer 1/1 or small group ski lessons
(same Family) , whilst easily being safe and follow all social distancing rules. Exercise, both physical & mental in an outdoor environment.

Why the contribution is important

Great for physical & mental health, outside activity for safe excercise and bringing some people, instructors and coaches back into the workplace.

Part of a new way of doing things perhaps?? Not most essential but good for well being...abit like opening tennis courts and golf courses.

Readily practical, so appropriate for early easing of restrictions. Snow ski areas although a little more complex, could be treated similarly, perhaps with participants limited to locals, school groups etc initially (as New Zealand are now planning for their imminent season start).

Skiing centres could be opened and controlled use of ski area, e.g. using every 2nd tow/ drag lift to keep distancing. Only if booked on to use area to adhere to distancing. 121 or small family lessons as distancing could be adhered to.
In terms of competitions, smaller numbers attending and controlled use of every 2nd drag lift. In between racing, families could wait in their own cars.
This is a sport that lends itself to individuals so people will be wearing face protection. Be outdoors and every 2nd tow to be used
