Solicitor Estate Agents

In Scotland we have the unique offering of solicitor estate agents. These have been classed as non essential however offices can be operated by social distancing and remote viewings can take place until restrictions fully lifted.

Why the contribution is important

legal services is an important area dealing with wills executry and power of attorneys as well as conveyancing and in some aspects employment law aspects which have all but needed to be put on hold.

Many solicitors and estate agents have furloughed all staff except the partners as most of the legal work cannot be done from home and it requires people to be in the office.

    I think this is an area that can probably be safely opened fairly soon where social distancing etc could be managed

    Agree that social distancing can easily apply here especially where properties are empty and sales are ready to go through. Viewings could be managed safely and could do virtually where appropriate.

    In Scotland this is for me is key. We have our house move on hold right now, should have moved end March. All missives concluded but we still can not move yet. , even though we can do this safely and adhere to social distancing rules. No need for us to even visit our solicitor face to face. Everything, even pre lockdown, was being down over the phone and e-mail.
