Special sickness benefit

After the lockdown ends and assuming no vaccine I think it would be a good idea to have a special sickness benefit just for covid 19 .
Many low income or zero hours workers will turn up for work however ill they feel .
Self isolation is fine in theory but needs financial backing to encourage those with symptoms to actually stay home .
Surely a simple system where if you have symptoms , report and get tested , the benefit ( say 80% of your wage) would kick in immediately on the result being positive which would allow people to do the full 14 day quarantine .
The benefit could be extended too if the person had one of the more severe cases .
Stopping only when there's been a negative test .

Why the contribution is important

Encourage those less willing because of financial constraints to follow quarantine rules .
Cost effective way to keep infection rates low in the future if covid19 stays as a regular disease .
