Steps in place to protect the economy

Although protection of public is highly important, the economy is going to take a long time to recover from this, and help must be put in place before we lose some industries entirely.
In addition, the government must aid with job security and prevent companies from getting rid of many employees. We are likely to see the lasting effects of this economy crash for many years to come, and must protect industries and businesses as to prevent a larger impact.

Why the contribution is important

Certain industries will not cope with this crash - e.g. theatre industry, cinemas, travel industry. They are unlikely to be able to operate for a long time to come, and require protection in this uncertain future. In addition, if the job market is going to look anything like it did in 2008, we are going to be in for some very tough years ahead of us.

I agree but it too late to protect the economy. It has been needlessly trashed by our politicians.

Absolutely agree. Country can't function much longer in the way we are right now. How are we supposed to survive this when we can't get back to work, and have no money to afford rent?
