Stop people dying alone - allow PPE for visitors

Allow at least one close relative to wear PPE and be at their loved-one's deathbed on a Covid ward.

This relative will then self-isolate after their stay in the hospital with their loved one.

I surely cannot be alone in being kept up at night at the thought that not only are people dying en masse, but they are dying alone. Those people could be me, you or your family.

I can't imagine how scared and lonely I would feel as I struggle for breath to know I was being condemned to die alone, in pain.

I understand that PPE is a valuable commodity at the moment. But what sets Scotland apart is our humanity to our fellow men & women.

So going forward, we must allow at least one close relative to wear PPE and to be at their loved-one's side if & when they die. With the understanding that that relative will self-isolate after attending a Covid ward.

It's what I would want for myself & my loved ones. We can't look away any longer from the inhumanity of what's happening to the dying...
