Students collecting belongings

There needs to be clarity on when students can travel to collect their belongings from term time addresses - anywhere in the country. Many travelled to parents’ homes without being able to clear out their (university or private) accommodation and their tenancies are about to come to an end.

Why the contribution is important

People are trying to do the right thing but there are gaping holes in the regulations

    Government guidelines state you can move house if unable to negotiate a delay but unclear if this applies to students. Will we be stopped by police and sent home or fined? Have contacted local MP and Scottish government for advice and just been referred by the latter to unclear policy.

    Clear guidance required as government policy says you can move house a delay cannot be agreed but unclear if this applies to students and will traffic police be aware that this travel is allowed.
