Students finishing university year
With some caution about students returning to a household where there is someone shielding, students could be allowed to return to their family home for some or all of the summer. Continued vigilance for symptoms for students and their families would be required.
Why the contribution is important
Many students will not have university accommodation and/or financial support over the summer
Many summer jobs will not be available
Many families will have not had contact over lockdown period
There will be lots of washing to be done
