Support local contact tracing over an App

Give local government and public health the resources to implement local contact tracing systems, using local expertise and knowledge.

Why the contribution is important

They already have good local expertise and knowledge of how to make contact tracing work. Apps will never apply to the bulk of the population and do not have the trust essential to make them work well.

Local contact tracing using public health expertise and NHS expertise (via sexual health for example who already have this experience) I think is excellent way forward. We have to invest in public health to protect in future so good opportunity to really beef this up.
I would also fully support use of tech like an App to help this, BUT NOT proposed UK govt version which is centralised and involves dodgy private collaborators, I won’t download that. A decentralised version supported by SNHS and compliant with other European countries I would support and download.

Excellent approach. We have an excellent resource in our frontline health and social services please do use this approach.

Supported by a decentralised app like the one described half way down this website (NB really excellent interactive demo of how epidemiology works) here:- https://ncase.me/covid-19/?v=2
