As a taxi driver i currently operate a policy of no passengers allowed in front seat unless they have a disability which requires them too, maximum 2 passengers in back seat, this would allow for couple and passenger plus carer, if only 1 passenger, passenger to sit diagonal to driver seat, i. e left rear passenger seat, this my template for working, which is safe for me and any passengers, however this is not company policy, nor goverment policy which means some drivers still picking up 3 and 4 passengers increasing the likelihood of the virus being transferred to others.
Why the contribution is important
Reduces possible transmission greatly, increasing safety of drivers and passengers, and providing confidence in nhs and care workers going to work.
