The R number

Why is the R number higher in Scotland than England? We have a smaller population in a relatively large widespread country, and we have control of NHS funds.
We continue to be in lockdown because of the Scottish governments ineffiency.

Why the contribution is important

We need transparency and factual answers to show how well or otherwise we are dealing with the pandemic

Our cases were fewer and death rate lower. Our ‘curve’ never reached a mountain peak like London or the midlands. We are trundling along on a plateau and not falling much. I too would like to know why but it’s not the government who are spreading the virus, it’s us. Suspect the initial policy not to treat or test care home residents but leave them in situ has not helped.
