The virus is a problem that should be overcome.

The virus will not be extinguished by the current lockdown, and will may unless or until a vaccine is available.
There is good evidence that vitamin D, exposure to sunlight and healthy outdoor activity helps combat viruses of this nature. We should therefore be encouraging outdoor activity rather than being housebound.
Scotland’s overall infection rate and mortality rate per overall population is low, and better to deal with infection now rather than in tha autumn, when immunity will be nice again low.
The damage to the most needy of the population is in my view increased by the current lockdown. Sadly government and media broadcasts have created a society full of fear and foreboding.
Where I live n the Borders the rate of infection and mortality is negligible, and even in Glasgow, no more than a bad winter flu.
