The forum is supposed to be for a big boy adult views but it is totally clear that politics in Scotland feels to be in front of public health and a feel of English government don’t tell us what to do but the reason for this forum was supposed to be ideas now English welsh government opening thing that Scotland is not

86 PEOPLE IN ITU OUT OF 6 MILLION. The clear rate of infection is low in Scotland you look at the north of England on data sheets same people infected and similar death but the population is a lot less so that means if the science says ok for them why is Scotland science different

     Lockdown is the reason for the lower death rate. Scotland is behind England in the stages of disease management and the response needs to lag too. Scotland is a very different geographical country to England and the same measures are probably not appropriate. Our government will never be perfect but there is a lot less showboating and misdirection here than Westminster and I support Nicola Sturgeon in her decisions. They are based on intelligent science not how popular the leader wants to be.

    What intelligent science. Haven’t seen any published and where is the peer scrutiny. Personally I would not trust the Scottish govt to be impartial they are too totalitarian in their attitudes

    I've been censured on this 'ideas' consultation too where a question I raised about Scotland having more restrictions than England being damaging to the Independence cause was killed by a moderator. FM keeps trying to justify her position by saying the R number is higher in Scotland but can produce no evidence whatsoever to back that up. Feels like she's just trying to score political points over BoJo but I think it will backfire as Scots won't enjoy being caged more than our English friends just a few miles away.

    Sad fact is that Scotland is at least three weeks behind England on TTT/TTIS. Pathetic but true.

    So we're all stuck at home, indefinitely. Better there than dead all the same.
