Tighter regulations for supermarkets

Supermarkets are high risk as everyone visits, touches surfaces and even the items for sale.

The regulations require social distancing but say nothing at all about hand hygiene.

It should be compulsory for everyone entering to sanitise their hands before entering. None of the supermarkets do this.

It should be compulsory for the store to provide clean trolleys and baskets that have been cleaned. Some do not some do not.

Self service checkouts should be wiped down between customers. I haven’t seen this anywhere.

Why the contribution is important

Because transmission from hand to hand should be easy to reduce with good hand hygiene.
