Time for more detail on New Infections
Please can we have some clarity and statistics of where new infections are being identified in the past 4 weeks or recent weeks?
As we have been in lockdown with very restricted movement over past 7 weeks, surely we should now be able to see some more detailed figures for example or more detail since increased testing?.
% of new infections per age group
where are people catching the virus if they are in lockdown? We need some detail on this and not just a number of new infections each day.
% infected in last 7 wks while in hospital for other reasons
% new infections in care homes
% new infections within families in same household
% new infections from workplaces that are not closed
% new infections picked up at supermarkets ( based on evidence where possible)
Clearly these particular figures may not be available but we need more detail rather than just a daily figure of new infections. Where is the detail?

Why the contribution is important
7 weeks in from lockdown we surely need much more detail on where new infections are being picked up? General daily infection figures are no longer adequate. People need to see evidence of areas where Lockdown is working well and not so well in terms of new infections rates.

Why then are we not going forward with some easing of the restrictions ? Is it because there is still higher community transmission in Scotland ?
The reality is that people will begin and/or are beginning to ease the restrictions themselves.
This isn’t the right way round but people cannot continue to live in lockdown unless we are convinced we have the right information to support that.
