Time Line Needed - Peoples Wellbeing

Peoples mental health is suffering, one of the major factors of this is because we have lost control of our lifes and aren't able to plan. I propose that the Scottish Government (in line with other UK countries) set out a road map time line as quickly as possible. Including details of the industries and sectors that will reopen every 2 to 3 weeks. There then needs to be a matched financial support package which ensures that all employers and employees are supported until we can get back to our work places.

Why the contribution is important

The roadmap time line allows people to plan ahead, taking some stress and worry away which will help mental health and wellbeing. Without this you risk people breaking the rules and losing control.

Agree this is vitally important- people need something tangible to aim for

Agree, most people don't want the lockdown to end until the time is right, but a timeline would give people the opportunity to understand and plan whats in front them. We can tell our children the potential date they can see their granny, school friends, start their clubs again, even if it's weeks away it something to look forward too.

For many people planning is key to their life and no planning is very stressful. Yesterday ,7th May, I personally felt was the worst day of the lockdown, no guideline to the future, many small business owners not believing that they have a future, a major recession coming and no open planning, no schools opening, older people cut off from any socialising and on and on it goes !!!

But any timeline would need to be highly provisional, and liable to change depending on circumstances. We should also commend the govt. for seeking ideas from us, and for not offering premature prospects of freedom.
