Prior to full restrictions being lifted, tourist tax needs to be reconsidered.

Good idea...it was something that was being considered anyway...lots of countries do it and it’s a good way to increase revenue. Its never put me off visiting anywhere.

Tourism will be on its knees by the time this is finished. Adding a tax would be the final nail in the coffin.

Sends the wrong message to say tourists not welcome and the industry like others will need every opporunity to recover, not heap another barrier on it. Liklihood of many tourists coming is low!

If it was to operate the same way other countries work it, it would only apply to non U.K., foreign visitors. However you are probably right...don’t think there will be many coming due to increased air fares etc. We should probably have done it years ago.
