I think children should return before the summer to allow some sort of transition before moving to new class or stage. Otherwise after summer they should have a short period of time in school with current class teacher to allow for this.
Why the contribution is important
I think this is important because many children this has been a very unsettling time for them. One of the constants during this time has been their class teacher who they have formed good relationships. For some moving to a new class/ teacher is a difficult change therefore I think it’s important for children to settle back into school with current class teacher for consistency and then begin to look at transition.
