Travel to 2nd Home which is empty

If a 2nd home or holiday home is being unused, you should be allowed to visit that place or move to work in that location so long as when you go there you are not putting anyone else at risk.

If I travel from one location to another by car (not public transport), the only contact you might have is at the petrol station or electric charge point. At that juncture the recommendation should be to wash hands and use contactless payments which many forecourts have at the pumps.

The recommendation could be that this should only be done at most once every week.

This seems like common sense and the risk of transmission would be extremely low.

Why the contribution is important

Allow people to ensure properties are safe.
Allow people to move to work remotely in another location.
Allow people to move from existing location where it may not be as suitable.
Explicit guidance would ensure people are clear about what people can and can’t do without breaking the rules.

Totally support this, my property is currently not habitable and needs weeks of work to fix it. The longer we are prevented from maintaining our properties the more their condition will deteriorate. I can do this with zero risk since I need not need to come into contact anyone at all. Blanket bans make no sense.
