Two person deliveries allowed

Allow deliveries of larger items such as sofas to go ahead as soon as possible. At present, these are currently on hold as it has been advised by the government it’s not possible for them to maintain a distance of 2m. These could be relaxed and delivery persons provided with appropriate PPE if sharing the cab of a lorry and required to handle large items such as sofas as a small two person team. There is no requirement to enter the houses if people in that house are ok with taking it inside themselves. There are people are living in uncomfortable situations at home with no furniture, many of which are NHS workers looking for a place of comfort after their shifts. Ambiguity is allowing these companies to place all of their staff on furlough, unnecessarily withholding orders and production of such an essential home good.

Boost morale and basic comfort in a terrible situation, ensure people are delivered services promised months ago, ease cash flow in these organisations and allow limited close contact to ease lockdown in some of the safer return to work options.
