Utilise Shielded People

All those like myself who have skills in engineering that can be used online should be asked to register these skills.
This would form a database for helping Scotland get back to work.
I currently work for my employer using computer aided skills.
I know its transferable across engineering
Ask for Shielded and/or non-Sheilded people to join an online workforce to be used as the government see fit.

Why the contribution is important

It would help struggling engineering businesses get back on their feet whilst, and at the same time, helping Shielded people.

Coordination could be an issue but crowdsourcing some tasks in this way could be an excellent way to utilise those with expertise and time on their hands.

I am presently Shielding and working from home. The experience of older folk like myself will be missing from the workplace.
It's good to check with older folk who have that experience and as long as the software is downloaded successfully this might be a good way to go.

Think this could include students and furloughed workers with appropriate IT and other useable/transferable skills too. Might be a way to support teachers if schools/colleges have to continue online or provide virtual work experience.

It does not have to be just about engineering
