Visiting family

Being able to visit elderly parents who live an hour's drive away, even if just to chat in the garden at a distance.

Why the contribution is important

Our parents are isolated from their family. It would improve everyone's wellbeing.

Absolutely. I have people living in the neighbourhood, who have been doing this for a while now. It is safe. Albeit, rather inconsiderate and unfair. Other grandparents are subjected to witness the fun...

Not all people’s family live within an hour away. This need to be considered and perhaps it should be the number of visits that should be determined. E.g. 1 visit per week or if a long distance perhaps number of visits is to once a month.

I think there is a special case for visiting family members who are new mothers, especially if they are single mothers living alone. Struggling with a small baby in isolation with no family support can lead to all kinds of long and short term problems.
