Hello I am retired and used to work in H&S doing Risk & Method Statements.
Partially lifting access to Marina. Now I have a Yacht berthed at Troon Marina, but this could apply to others.
So basing this RAMS for Troon Yacht Haven. The Marina if fully secured with access gates. The Marina can control access by an email or letter invite to each owner only of a craft. This is to allow for the owner to check their craft out. You would be checked in by the marina at the entry road gate showing your pass letter on your car window no need to open window. Drive in and park in a bay leaving every 2nd bay empty. you can now approach the bridge head gate leading to the pontoons which can be left open, now if someone is coming up the gangway you wait for them to exit keeping your 2mt distance and then you can enter and make your way along the walkway pontoons to your craft if someone is walking back you can enter a side pontoon to give the safe passage way of 2mts. to pass. Go to your craft check out allowance of 1 hour and then make your way back out ensuring that you observe the 2mt. distancing rule at all times avoid stoppages for chats with other craft owners, make your way back to car and leave.
1 you can not take your craft out of the marina it must remain secured at it's berth,
2 you can not go to the office.
3 you can not use the marina toilets as the 2mt distancing could not be achieved.
4 the marina may have a portable toilet unit installed next to the Access gates just in case and can be monitored by the office this only for emergency use.
5 Avoid contact with any staff.
6 Keep your invite letter at hand at all times if you are stopped by Police Scotland who can ratify with the Marina your invite to check your craft.
7 Each invited craft owner would be issued on the invite the guide rules of entry.
8 If the owner fails to abide to the guidelines given all privileges for further visits would be declined.

Why the contribution is important

Why I class this important because insurance covers. The Marina staff can only check the outside of the craft as in supports if your craft is ashore, or your mooring ropes tied to the pontoons along with security of sails. This gives the owner the chance to check inside the craft, on battery power units, shore power and other equipment's as in pumps.

I hope this can be looked at favourably.
