Vitamin D
SG should promote this to boost folks immune systems. It doesn't stop you getting covid but apparently it does help a wee bit if you do.
Why the contribution is important
If you dig, there seems to be a lot of stuff on vitamin D helping improve the odds of your immune system should you get covid. If this is true then why is there no official message to take a daily supplement for the time being? We're often told in Scotland we should do during the winter anyway and it's not exactly difficult or expensive to get hold of.

I heard today they seem to have found a link between severity of the disease and Vitamin D production - they believe many BAME people have Vitamin D deficiency during winter and hence the reason so many more of them are hospitalised.
Will watch this with interest.

It is nearly impossible to expose enough skin to enough sun in this country to get adequate conversion ... ....particularly those of us who work indoors ( all of us), commute to work in a car/train/bus ( all of us), work in a building with no natural light ( all of us), eat at our desk ( all of us) , wear face creams with UV protection ( all of us), avoid sun beds as they give you skin cancer ( all of us), wear factor 30-50 on that once a year trip to Spain ( all of us) and who have to wear a parka from September to April to avoid rising damp.
It's a miracle any of us are alive and don't have rickets... that'll be the cornflakes and margarine additives saving us then.
